The upcoming girls’ love anime Whisper Me a Love Song has announced three additional cast members on Friday: Reina Ueda as Momoka Satomiya, Chika Anzai as Hajime Amasawa, and Aoi Koga as Miki Mizuguchi. The anime premieres this April. Additionally, an advance screening of the first episode will be held at United Cinemas Aqua City Odaiba on March 30, 2024.
The anime’s first trailer was unveiled last November featuring the main characters Himari and Yori. Studio Cloud Hearts is animating the series with Akira Mano (Ghost Hunt) as director. Hiroki Uchida is writing the scripts while Minami Yoshida is designing the characters. The cast includes:
- Hana Shimano as Himari Kino
- Asami Seto plays as Yori Asanagi
- Mikako Komatsu as Aki Mizuguchi
- Konomi Kohara as Mari Tsuitsui
- Ai Kakuma as Kaori Tachibana
- Yuna Nemoto as Shiho Izumi
The TV anime is based on the manga written and illustrated by Eku Takeshima which was initially serialized in Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime in 2019. Kodansha Comics is licensing the manga in English they described the first volume as follows:
Bubbly, energetic first-year high school student Himari falls head over heels for her senpai Yori after hearing her band perform on the first day of school. Himari tells Yori she just loves her, and, to Himari’s surprise, Yori says she loves Himari back! But when Himari realizes that she and her senpai are feeling two different kinds of love, she begins to ask herself what “love” really means
