WIND BREAKER Season 2 is ready for the Roppo Ichiza arc, revealing a new visual and trailer for the anime. The new arc is set to begin with Episode 7, which will premiere on May 15, 2025. Studio CloverWorks is again animating, with Akai Toshifumi back as the director and most of the same staff.
The new trailer also introduces two new characters and their voice actors:
- Kazuyuki Okitsu as Kanji Nakamura
- Reina Ueda as Shizuka Narita

Satoru Nii writes and illustrates the WIND BREAKER manga, which is serialized on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website. Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English, while Crunchyroll is streaming the anime.
The story follows Haruka Sakura, a first-year student at Furin High School, a school notorious for being the place of delinquents who solve everything with brute strength. He came to become the strongest by beating them, but it turns out to be more different than he could’ve ever imagined. The students there have formed a group called Bofurin, and they actually work to protect the town from real bad guys. Still, there’s all sorts of characters, leading to a lot of interesting developments for Haruka.
