Winter 2021 Anime Rankings – Week 03

Anime Corner Author

The results for the third weekly Anime Corner Winter 2021 survey for anime rankings have arrived! This week, we were able to gather data from more than 30,000 international anime fans and analyse it to generate a fan-favourite episode list for the third week of this season. “Attack on Titan” came back from its break two weeks ago and managed to retain the top spot for two consecutive weeks. Although the voting percentage has decreased, this is mainly due to the strong episodes released by the other series.

As shown below, “Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation” has reached the second spot after releasing a heartfelt episode that continues to impress international fans. The quality of production has been top notch, and the story-telling justifies its position. This series is the number one non-sequel new anime for this week. This rank was secured last week by Horimiya, that debuted with a powerful premiere episode. Although the quality is still maintained, it swapped positions with the fourth place “Mushoku Tensei” held last week and is currently the second most popular non-sequel series for this week as voted by fans.

The ranking is followed by “Re:Zero Season 2 Part 2” which has retained its position from the chart released last week. The parallels between Subaru and Emilia, especially this episode, were striking, and if it wasn’t for “Mushoku Tensei” to release one of its strongest episodes so far, it might have been in second place.

Before proceeding, we would like to point out that the results shown in the rankings are based on the data of the sample selected. Your decision to watch shows below the Top 10 should therefore not be affected, as each show has its own distinct style, and everyone’s taste in anime is different.

“Redo of Healer” had the biggest increase in the top ten rankings compared to the previous week. On social media, the second episode has caused a lot of controversy. The censored version was too much to be simulcast by companies in Germany. Flare’s voice actress from ‘Redo of Healer’ also commented and shared some thoughts about her role.

If you haven’t voted for your favourite series in time this week, don’t worry, the Winter 2021 weekly poll will be held weekly throughout this season! You can also cast your vote on polls.animecorner.me for the Top 10 Winter 2021 Anime Rankings next week.
