Ya Boy Kongming! is a manga series written by Yuuto Yotsuba and illustrated by Ryou Ogawa. The manga was first serialized on Kodonsha’s Comic Days website and later on the Weekly Young Magazine. The manga series has sold over 2 million copies due to the author’s unique idea of combining the classic coming-of-age story with an outrageous setting. The manga inspired an anime series that aired in 2022 and a live-action TV Series that premiered in September 2023 of this year.
The manga series is licensed and published by Kodansha in English and is described as:
The general of the Three Kingdoms, Kongming had struggled his whole life, facing countless battles that made him into the accomplished strategist he was. So, on his deathbed, he wished only to be reborn into a peaceful world…and was sent straight to modern-day part-central, Tokyo! Can even a brilliant strategist like Kongming adapt to the wild beats and even wilder party people!?
