Yatagarasu Anime Takes Three-Week Break Due to Olympics Broadcast

YATAGARASU: The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master anime will be on a three-week break due to the coverage of the Olympic Games Paris 2024. Episode 14 aired earlier today and episode 15 is scheduled for August 17.

Earlier today, My Hero Academia 7 announced that it will not broadcast a new episode next week, also due to the Olympic Games Paris 2024 coverage. This year’s games run from July 26 to August 11.

Studio Pierrot is animating the YATAGARASU: The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master anime, which premiered in April of this year. Yoshiaki Kyogoku is directing the series, with Yukiko Yamamuro on the series composition. Takumo Norita is in charge of the character designs and Eishi Segawa is composing the music.

The anime is adapting Chisato Abe’s Yatagarasu fantasy novel series. Kodansha is publishing the manga adaptation (by Natsumi Matsuzaki ) in English, under the A Raven for All Seasons title, on its K-MANGA app. K-MANGA describes the plot as:
In the land of Yamauchi, a world dominated by “Yatagarasu” instead of humans, it’s time for the Crown Prince to choose his Queen. Four princesses are sent to the palace by four great noble families who are fiercely fighting for power in the Imperial Court. They all have their own reasons for wanting to become Empress, and many shocking developments happen along the way. In the end, who will be selected by the prince?

Crunchyroll is streaming the anime.
