Japanese voice actor Yuichiro Umehara disclosed that he has been married for eight years. Umehara was spotted by the Japanese news outlet News Live Door leaving a coffee shop with a woman, who later turned out to be his wife. He revealed, after being interviewed by the news outlet, that he got married when he was around 25 or 26 years old. His marriage is a matter he had already discussed with his agency a long time ago, and he did not announce it to the public in order to separate his private life from his work.
Information about his wife states that she is a successful accessory designer who recently opened her first pop-up store in Tokyo. Her designs were worn by Japanese idol Kanano Senritsu in a fashion magazine. The two were classmates in the same university. After the news was published in Japanese news outlets, Umehara apologized on his official X account for revealing the information in this manner.
Yuichiro Umehara is a Japanese voice actor, singer, and narrator currently affiliated with Arts Vision. He is best known as the voice of Goblin Slayer in Goblin Slayer, Weather Report in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, Manabu Horikita in Classroom of the Elite, Alhaitham in Genshin Impact, and Jugram Haschwalth in Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War. He is also the vocalist and guitarist of the band Sir Vanity, who performed the theme song for the Tokyo Revengers stage play. Umehara recently released his photobook “Ume Awase” on his 33rd birthday last March 8.
