The popular Yuri!!! on ICE anime series will be heading to Hulu 8.5 years after it first premiered on Crunchyroll in October 2016. Listed as a Crunchyroll sublicense under Yuri on Ice: Complete Season 1, the series will stream on Hulu in English subbed and dubbed on June 3, 2025.

Yuri on Ice was a smash hit, taking anime studio MAPPA’s notoriety to another level during its run. It’s maintained a large and devoted following since. Nevertheless, the highly anticipated Yuri on Ice sequel movie, Ice Adolescence, struggled with production before finally being canceled 7 years after its announcement in April 2024, with vague and “various circumstances” cited as the reason.

Yuri Katsuki carried the hope of all Japan on his shoulders in the Figure Skating Grand Prix, but suffered a crushing defeat in the finals. He returned to his hometown in Kyushu and hid away in his family’s home, half wanting to continue skating and half wanting to retire. That was when the five-time consecutive world champion, Victor Nikiforov, suddenly showed up with his teammate, Yuri Plisetsky, a young skater starting to surpass his seniors. And so the two Yuris and the Russian champion Viktor set out to compete in a Grand Prix like none the world has ever seen!
