Laid-Back Camp (Yuru Camp), Season 3 is officially in the works, as announced earlier today with a special illustration. Original author, Afro, commented on the announcement, saying that they never thought they would be able to continue this long and that they are looking forward to the broadcast.
C-Station studio animated both the anime and the movie, which was directed by Yoshiaki Kyougoku and premiered earlier this year. Mutsumi Sasaki did the character designs, while Mutsumi Ito and Jin Tanaka wrote the screenplay. Tanaka also worked on the TV anime, and Ito did the series composition for Room Camp (Heya Camp) side story. The first season of the anime adaptation aired in the Winter of 2018 season, with the second following in the Winter of 2021. Crunchyroll co-financed the anime and also streamed it.
Laid-Back Camp is based on a manga by Afro, which started serialization in 2015 The manga has 12 volumes, with Yen Press publishing the English translation and describes the plot as:
Setting up a tent, starting a fire, and eating noodles with Mt. Fuji in view…Rin and Nadeshiko absolutely love to camp! Enjoy their zest for travel and maybe even pick up a tip or two about roughing it in the great outdoors. You might just want to go camping yourself!
