5 Historical Fantasy Romance Manhwa
A Dream Escape
Synopsis: After Crown Prince Marmel falls into a deep slumber, Sonidor the Dream Meister must use her power of entering dreams through physical contact to wake him. But as she takes on a new form each time she enters his dreams, she discovers that the prince isn’t cursed, forcing her to delve deeper into his subconscious to discover the source of his eternal sleep. Will finding that source help him overcome his trauma, or will facing it trap the prince and the Dream Meister in a nightmare forever?
When I first encountered this story, it was on TikTok as an edit featuring the first chapter. Given the initial chapter’s content, I assumed it focused on that specific part. However, upon further exploration, I found that it diverged from my expectations. Nevertheless, it captured my attention, prompting me to read the entire first chapter. I found it intriguing, especially as the narrative unfolded, revealing the protagonist’s unique powers and the transformation of her life. She embarks on a journey to assist the Crown Prince with his challenges, which involve a deep sleep reminiscent of Sleeping Beauty, albeit with a unique twist. The story explores the protagonist’s efforts to awaken the important person and the ensuing captivating dynamics.
The plot takes an interesting turn as the protagonist engages in wholesome moments while assisting the Crown Prince in his dreams. Ultimately, the Prince awakens, and the story concludes with heartwarming interactions between the two characters. Their connection is portrayed in a cute and silly manner, adding to the charm of their relationship.
If you appreciate stories featuring intelligent and determined female leads who persist in achieving their goals, this is an excellent choice. Unlike many stories where the female lead faces setbacks and gives up, the protagonist in A Dream Escape remains resilient throughout the narrative. Additionally, if you enjoy well-crafted character interactions, especially when the initial reluctance of the male lead evolves into a deep connection, this story will undoubtedly appeal to you. It skillfully explores the gradual development of their relationship, making it a delightful and engaging read.

Frozen Wolf, Fire Dragon
Synopsis: Eve was once a human woman who loved to read romance novels. But after being reincarnated as an ice magic-wielding wolf hybreed in one of her favorite stories, Eve runs into a dragon hybreed named Rahel who will kill her in the future and fall in love with her little brother, Sion. Now, Eve thinks her only hope of survival is to save enough money to move to the human world. But as Rahel grows more attached to her, Eve has no idea if she’ll cool Rahel’s fiery nature or burn in a blazing inferno!
Let me tell you, this story is truly good because of the incredible care she extends to her brother. Despite being aware of future events, she puts forth her best efforts to prevent conflicts within the family. Enduring some traumatic moments in her life, she remains steadfast in her determination to avert them. The way she looks after the two kids is commendable; even as the sole guardian, she does her utmost for them. The romance in the story unfolds at a gradual pace, contributing to its charm. Despite being slow, the romantic elements are still endearing, and her protective nature adds an extra layer of love that resonates with me. When the main character prioritizes the well-being of children, it truly hits the spot for me.
If you appreciate slow historical fantasy romance, this story is a good choice. The male lead’s growing affection for the protagonist becomes apparent, offering a satisfying perspective. Publicly, the romance develops at a slow pace, providing a pleasant read for those who enjoy such storytelling. It’s not an intense slow burn, but rather a gradual and delightful progression. Additionally, if you enjoy heartwarming moments involving children, Frozen Wolf, Fire Dragon is a perfect fit for you. Stories centered around protection and care for children are not only heartwarming but also make for a cute and enjoyable read. If you love these types of narratives, I highly recommend giving this story a try.

Little Rabbit and the Big Bad Leopard
Synopsis: Vivi is a… wererabbit?! As a creature that’s supposed to transform into a human, Vivi is a failure, demonized as cursed and sent off to her doom. Luckily, her demise is cut short as Ahin of the Black Leopard Clan saves her. But with every threat and command this temperamental heir tosses at Vivi, she’s questioning her safety (and sanity). Surrounded by carnivores and their strong pheromones, she’ll try to survive the chaos while stuck in her rabbit form. Will she figure out how to transform and tap into the power within her cute, furry self?
The story offers excellent character development, and the genuine care the characters exhibit for each other is remarkable. Initially starting off as a seemingly not-so-lighthearted tale of picking up a rabbit, it transforms into a heartwarming love story. Despite facing numerous traumatic events stemming from family issues, they navigate through it together, and that’s what makes the story stand out. The fact that they have each other to support and help each other grow as individuals is a key aspect that I appreciate. Additionally, the art is incredibly cute, adding another layer of enjoyment to the overall experience.
If you enjoy stories that feature significant character development throughout the narrative, then this is an excellent read for you. The love shared between the characters, and the selfless actions they undertake for one another make it a compelling story. If you appreciate narratives where characters genuinely care for each other, then this is the perfect read for you. There’s just one problem: Her new husband is dead set on not laying a finger on her! Will Elena be able to tear down Kyffin’s ironclad defenses before it’s too late…?
Seducing the Monster Duke story never fails to make me laugh. The level of commitment the female lead exhibits towards the male lead is truly remarkable. It’s evident how determined she is to assist him, driven by her knowledge of past events and a genuine desire to prevent future miseries. What makes the story truly awesome is the balance in her assertiveness – it’s not overwhelming to the point of annoyance but rather reflects her sincere concern for him. I appreciate this aspect of the narrative; there’s a caring quality to her persistence that adds depth to the story. The title itself adds a humorous touch that enhances the overall enjoyment.

The Cure for Passion
Synopsis: Asha the potion maker remembers everything about her tragic past life, including her former husband, Karligo. They were in a seemingly loveless marriage that constantly left Asha feeling lonely and unfulfilled because Karligo would never even look at her, let alone touch her. But in this life, Asha has met a drastically changed Karligo! Now that he’s afflicted with uncontrollable desire and feverish lust, can Asha cure him before his fiery passion burns them both?
I want to start by highlighting the intelligence of the female lead in The Cure for Passion. Throughout the story, she undergoes significant growth, distancing herself from her past life. Her commendable effort to help others is a standout quality that I truly appreciate. Despite the challenges she faces, she strives to move forward, leaving her past behind.
The male lead initially introduces some concerning issues in the first three chapters. However, as the story progresses, you gain insights into the reasons behind his behavior and witness substantial changes in his character. What truly stands out is the depth of care he harbors, and I appreciate the genuine effort he puts into expressing his emotions and communicating to her as much as he can.
If you value character development, especially in the male lead, this story is a must-read. The narrative places significant emphasis on his growth and his sincere attempts to convey his feelings. It’s refreshing to see such character development within the first 50 chapters, making it an engaging and well-paced story.
Additionally, if you enjoy stories with female leads who are dedicated to caring for others and strive to be strong despite a traumatic history, then The Cure for Passion is an excellent choice. The protagonist’s resilience and determination contribute to a compelling narrative that explores both personal growth and meaningful connections.
