9-nine- Visual Novel Gets TV Anime

The supernatural mystery visual novel 9-nine- is officially getting a TV anime adaptation, which was announced with a teaser video. In addition, a special event called 9-nine- Symphonic Concert2 with Animation will be held on September 8 to celebrate the anime. The game’s developer is PALETTE, while it’s published by Sekai Project.

The visual novel was released in 2017, while it first arrived on Steam in English in 2019. Steam currently has 4 episodes available, and they describe the first one:

9-nine- Episode 1 is the first volume in a series of supernatural mystery games, with Episode 1 telling a story centered around Miyako Kujo. The entries in the the 9-nine- series share the same setting and world, but each entry focuses on a different heroine. 9-nine- is a tale of the town of Shiromitsugawa, host to mysterious Artifacts and the superpowers they bestow on their Users. A tale of growing trust and budding romance between the protagonist and the heroine, and also a murder mystery where they hunt down the culprit behind a series of supernatural murders. Each game has an independent story that can be enjoyed on its own. We hope you enjoy the experience that is the 9-nine- series.

The voice actors who will be reprising their roles from the novel include Atsushi Abe, Misato Fukuen, Atsumi Tanezaki, Yuri Yamaoka, Akane Fujita, Kazutomi Yamamoto, Tomokazu Sugita, Satomi Arai, and Hana Takeda.
