Dr. Stone: New World (Season 3) anime has released a new trailer for its 2nd cour, along with an October 12 release date. The opening theme song will be “Haruka” by Ryujin Kiyoshi, and the ending theme song will be “Suki ni Shina yo” by Anly. Check out the new trailer:
The announcement came at a staging greeting event, which was attended by Yusuke Kobayashi (Senku), Ryota Suzuki (Ryusui), Kengo Kawanishi (Gen), Gen Sato (Chrome), and Kensho Ono (Ukyo). You can watch the recap trailer of the first cour:
Written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi, the Dr. STONE manga ended after 5 years of serialization on March 7, 2022. It had a total of 232 chapters, and you can read it on VIZ or MANGA Plus. VIZ describes the story:
One fateful day, all of humanity was petrified by a blinding flash of light. After several millennia, high schooler Taiju awakens and finds himself lost in a world of statues. However, he’s not alone! His science-loving friend Senku’s been up and running for a few months and he’s got a grand plan in mind—to kickstart civilization with the power of science!
Season 1 of the Dr. Stone anime adaptation began airing in the Summer of 2019 anime season (24 episodes), while season 2, Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, started in January 2021 and ran for 11 episodes. The series also received a special episode focusing on Ryusui in July 2022. The 1st cour of Dr. Stone: New World (Season 3) ran for 11 episodes from April to June this year.
