Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End TV anime has shown its ending in episode 5, and the creditless version video has also been released. The theme song is “Anytime Anywhere” by milet, and it also has an official music video. You can watch the anime version of the ending below:
The musical duo YOASOBI is performing the opening theme song “Yuusha,” which released both an official music video and the creditless anime version. The Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End main anime staff consists of Keiichiro Saito as the director, Tomohiro Suzuki as the scriptwriter, Reiko Nagasawa as the character designer and Evan Call as the music composer. Atsumi Tanezaki will be voicing the titular protagonist Frieren.
The anime is based on the manga written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. It has been serialized in Shogakukan’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Sunday since April 2020. Viz Media licensed the manga in English, and they describe the story:
Elf mage Frieren and her courageous fellow adventurers have defeated the Demon King and brought peace to the land. With the great struggle over, they all go their separate ways to live a quiet life. But as an elf, Frieren, nearly immortal, will long outlive the rest of her former party. How will she come to terms with the mortality of her friends? How can she find fulfillment in her own life, and can she learn to understand what life means to the humans around her? Frieren begins a new journey to find the answer.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End was voted as the most anticipated new anime of Fall 2023, and it also topped the first weekly ranking of the season!
