The horror game Identity V is about to cross paths with the popular anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End through a new collaboration. The crossover event officially launches on August 7, 2025, featuring themed costumes, accessories, and limited-time rewards.
The collaboration will have Frieren, Fern, and Stark setting off on a mission to confront Aura the Guillotine. The highlights include:
- Crossover Costume – “Knight” (Himmel): Available as part of the premium Knight Crossover Costume Package, featuring an S-rank costume and the matching accessory, Hero’s Blade.
- Crossover Costume – “Psychologist” (Fern)
- Crossover Costume – “Meteorologist” (Frieren)
- Crossover Costume – “Patient” (Stark)
- Explorer Costume – Sein & Grimoire Accessory: Free rewards for participants include an A-rank costume for the Explorer (Sein) and a magical Grimoire accessory for the Meteorologist.
Players who join the event can claim Crossover Essences ×10 and other exclusive items simply by participating, making it a rewarding experience even for casual fans.
Catch Identity V at Anime Expo 2025
As part of the celebration, Identity V will also take the spotlight at Anime Expo 2025. In collaboration with Frontier Works, fans will be able to find Identity V content at the animate GROUP booth (SH-504). The exhibit will include:
- A large-scale wall illustration
- A curated showcase of five years of artwork from Frontier Works’ collaborations.
- A fan voting campaign, with winners receiving A4 art prints (while supplies last).
In addition, three unique merchandise lines will be available for the first time in the United States:
- Dark×POP
- Art Collection
- Fantasy
For collectors, two limited-edition Identity V skateboard decks (Deck A and Deck B) will be available for international pre-order until July 28, 2025.

Identity V is a free-to-play multiplayer survival horror game developed by NetEase Games, first released in 2018. Players are divided into two roles: hunters, who stalk the shadows, and survivors, who must work together to decode cipher machines and escape.
About Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is an anime based on Kanehito Yamada’s manga, which has been serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday manga magazine since April 2020. Season 2 is currently in production and set to premiere in January 2026.
