Kaiju No. 8 anime revealed the opening and ending sequences following today’s second episode. Production I.G is animating the highly anticipated adaptation with studio khara on kaiju designs. YUNGBLUD is singing the opening theme “Abyss” which was co-written by Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons:
Viewers could hear the ending theme “Nobody” by One Republic in last week’s Kaiju No. 8 episode. The song’s single cover attracted many comments on social media after some fans pointed out that it appears to be an AI-generated image. These allegations have not been confirmed.
Tomomi Kamiya and Shigeyuki Miya are the directors of Kaiju No.8 anime. Ichiro Okuchi is in charge of the series composition. Tetsuya Nishio is the character designer, while Mahiro Maeda and Khara Studio are signing off on creature designs. New episodes of anime are streaming on Crunchyroll and Twitter/X simultaneously with the Japanese broadcast and are available on Crunchyroll for traditional streaming some 30 minutes later.

In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in The Defense Force. He makes a promise to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Soon, life takes them in separate ways. While employed cleaning up after Kaiju battles, Kafka meets Reno Ichikawa. Reno’s determination to join The Defense Force reawakens Kafka’s promise to join Mina and protect humanity.
