Oshi no Ko revealed a visual and video featuring the Hoshino twins, Aquamarine and Ruby, to commemorate Children’s Day on Sunday. This public holiday in Japan is observed annually on May 5 and marks the conclusion of Golden Week. It is a day dedicated to honoring children’s individuality and celebrating their happiness.
Oshi no Ko anime is based on a manga series written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrated by Mengo Yokari (Scum’s Wish). Studio Doga Kobo (Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie) animated the first season of the series with Daisuke Hiramaki (Selection Project) as director and Saori Tachibana (Wasteful Days of High School Girls) as assistant director. Jin Tanaka (Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club) wrote the scripts, and Kanna Hirayama (Rent-a-Girlfriend) did the character designs. Yumi Uchiyama voiced young Aquamarine while Yurie Igoma played the role of Ruby.
