Attack on Titan will mark its 15th anniversary on September 9, and they are teasing a new project as part of the celebration. The day will mark exactly 15 years since the manga by Hajime Isayama first started on September 9. The news were shared on the official X account for Attack on Titan FLY artbook, with no details regarding the project. Their message reads:
Attack on Titan will celebrate its 15th anniversary on September 9th! To commemorate the 15th anniversary, we are planning a project that all readers can enjoy together, so please look forward to it! We would be happy if you could follow this account and wait with excitement!
Hajime Isayama wrote and illustrated the series for Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, where it ran from September 2009 to April 2021. It ended with a total of 139 chapters, which were compiled into 34 volumes. Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English.
Attack on Titan has had numerous different projects and adaptations, including manga, novels, video games, and, of course, the anime. The latest known project is the Attack on Titan the Movie: THE LAST ATTACK compilation movie, which is set to premiere in Japan on November 8.
