Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS prequel manga adaptation began serialization today, starring Rebecca and Pilar as protagonists. The story is an entirely new and original work written by Bartosz Sztybor, who was in charge of the screenplay for the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime. We got to interview Bartosz last year, and we spoke with him about the anime, its production, his inspiration, and more.
The artwork for the new manga will be drawn by Asano, known for the manga adaptation of the anime series BNA.

The new Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS prequel manga is described:
Rebecca, whose fiery personality made her a fan-favorite, grows up with her big brother Pilar as they pursue their shared dream of “becoming a legendary edgerunner like their father”. In the megalopolis of Night City, where obsessions with technology, body modification, and power run rampant, they struggle, suffer, and cause chaos wherever they go! As they go about their daily lives, the mysterious Safran appears before them — changing the trajectory of their future. In this manga, a prequel to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, siblings Rebecca and Pilar’s lives are full of madness as they rush through Night City to prove themselves as edgerunners.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was released in September 2022 and had a total of 10 episodes. It was voted as the Best New Anime of the year in our yearly awards for that year, as well as the Best Original Anime. Netflix is streaming the show.
A new Cyberpunk animated project is also currently in production. It is another collaboration between Netflix Animation, CDPR and Cyberpunk.
