Gangan Joker magazine confirmed on March 22 that they will include One Week Friends Sequel on its April 2021 issue. The said manga is titled, One Week Friends Afterwards. Furthermore, the manga will have color pages included.
Matcha Hazuki started the manga in 2012 and ended on 2015. The first one to publish it was Yen Press.
Also, the author made a special chapter of it on April 2015. Afterwards, Square Enix published the complete seventh and final volume of the book in the same month.
Moreover, the manga also had an anime adaptation in 2014, and a live-action Japanese film in 2017. Sentai Filmworks acquired the license for the said series for home video in North America. Crunchyroll simulcast the series as it aired in Japan. The live action film of the manga was also released overseas.
The synopsis of the story:
Yuuki Hase desperately wants to be friends with Kaori Fujimiya, the girl in class who seems to always be alone. Just when he thinks they’ve hit it off, she tells him her secret: Every week, her memories reset. Yuuki resolves to befriend her as many times as it takes, but is he prepared for how much it will hurt to be one-week friends…?
