The ongoing ONE PIECE anime Egghead Arc will introduce a new ending theme starting with the episode airing on August 10, 2025. The new track, titled “PUNKS,” is performed by the music group CHAMELEON LIME WHOOPIEPIE. This will be the show’s 22th ending theme song, and it will replace the current ending song “The 1” by muque.

The band is also scheduled to appear at the “ONE PIECE DAY ’25” SPECIAL LIVE event, which will take place on the same day. The digital release of “PUNKS” is set for Monday, August 11, 2025.

Band member Chi- commented on the collaboration:

“I never imagined we’d be in charge of a ONE PIECE ending theme. ‘Why us!?’ I was in shock. I’ve been watching both the manga and anime since forever, so I’m absolutely thrilled. Since this is a work loved by people all over the world, I felt a huge sense of responsibility! But since we were chosen, we just made the song in our usual way, focusing on our signature futuristic pipapipo vibe and human touch. I poured my heart into it, thinking so much my head almost went ‘punk.’ Now all that’s left is for everyone to dance! Are you ready? Let’s dance!”

The ONE PIECE manga by Eiichiro Oda first began in July 1997, and the series exceeded 500 million circulating copies worldwide in August 2022. It also celebrated the 25th anniversary in 2022, while the anime adaptation started in October 1999 and is also still going strong. The manga currently has 1155 chapters, while the anime was on break due to elections and will return with Episode 1137 on July 27.
