KILL BLUE is officially getting a TV anime adaptation, which confirmed a 2026 release date along with the first teaser visual and trailer. Studio CUE will be in charge of the animation production, with Hiro Kaburagi (Kimi ni Todoke, GREAT PRETENDER) as the director.
You can watch the first teaser trailer below.
The author of the manga, Tadatoshi Fujimaki, commented on the anime announcement:
Thank you to all the readers who’ve supported me so far. The series is ending… but I’m incredibly lucky that it’s being made into an anime! The old guy’s gonna move! You’ll hear slurping ramen! The Home Ec Club’s gonna talk! …Saying it out loud like that, I’m not sure if it sounds amazing or not.
The anime airs next year. Until then, new volumes of the manga will keep coming, and I might even try doing something myself. Whether it’s amazing or not, please continue enjoying Kill Blue at your own pace and look forward to the anime with a light heart.
You can see the teaser visual below.
