The previously announced Kamiina Botan, Yoheru Sugata wa Yuri no Hana (Botan Kamiina, Her Drunken Appearance Is Like a Lily Flower) anime has cast Sayumi Suzushiro as the titular character Botan. Additionally, a character visual was released, and an April 2026 premiere date was revealed.
Suzushiro also left a comment:
I’m Sayumi Suzushiro, and I’ll be playing the role of Botan Kamiina!
When I first read the original work, I was immediately drawn into the atmosphere that Hei-sensei created. The expressions of a slightly tipsy girl, the mood, the delicate emotional exchanges, the carefully chosen casual outfits, and the variety of drinks, everything was irresistible.
Botan isn’t good with carbonated drinks, and actually, I’m not very good with them either… I felt such a strong connection through that oddly specific similarity, so I was truly happy when I got the role!
I’ll treasure this joy and do my best to portray her with care, so please look forward to it!
