Dark Gathering Season 2 Announced

A Season 2 for the Dark Gathering anime has been announced. Studio OLM is returning to animate, and Hiroshi Ikehata will serve as director. A teaser visual was also released. The release date is yet to be revealed.

The main cast will also reprise their roles:

• Nobunaga Shimazaki as Keitarоo Gentоoga
• Yu Sasahara as Yayoi Hоzuki
• Kana Hanazawa as Eiko Hozuki
• Rina Kawaguchi as Ai Kamiyo

The first season aired from July to December 2023 in two consecutive-cours. HIDIVE is streaming the first season of the anime and describes the plot as:
After a devastating encounter with a restless spirit, ghost-fearing psychic Keitaro Gentoga became a shut-in to avoid additional spectral catastrophes. But no man is a haunted island, and Keitaro eventually reintegrates with society by getting a part-time job as a tutor to the child prodigy Yayoi Houzuki. Yayoi isn’t just an academic genius, though. She’s a talented psychic medium hell-bent on finding the malevolent spirit behind her mother’s disappearance, and she’s gravely determined to drag Keitaro into her terrifying world of grotesque supernatural phenomenon.

The anime is based on a manga series by Kondo Kenichi, which Shueisha’s Jump SQ manga magazine has been serializing since March 2019.
