HoYoverse will roll out Version 2.6 of Zenless Zone Zero, titled “Encore for an Old Dream,” on February 6. The update introduces a new holiday-themed story arc, two playable characters from the idol group Angels of Delusion, and limited-time events alongside system updates. The game’s previous update introduced the game’s first dual-form Void Hunter, Ye Shunguang.
Sunna and Aria, the two featured members of the in-game idol group, are the patch’s main additions. Sunna is a Physical Support agent who uses her companion Bubblegum to deal area damage and buff teammates. Aria is an Ether Anomaly agent focused on burst damage through charge-based attacks that benefit from targeting debuffed enemies. Both characters will be available on event banners, with reruns for S-Rank agents Yixuan and Yuzuha also confirmed. A new Support Bangboo unit, “Bangboo Biggest Fan,” boosts team Attack and heals HP when two idol agents are deployed.
The main event, “A Harmony of Delusions,” will have players in charge of managing the group’s activities during New Eridu’s Gilded Carrot Day festival. It includes rhythm minigames, promotional segments, and exploration stages. Hollow Zero adds “Operation Matrix,” a challenge format with weekly rotating stages and team composition mechanics. The update also brings new Resonia items and a Sweep feature to speed up routine missions.
New costumes for Sunna and Aria, upgrades for Lycaon and Harumasa, and an event outfit for Pan Yinhu are also part of the version. Players logging in from January 30 will receive a bonus of 3,300 Polychrome, and a lucky draw campaign between February 14 and 23 offers a shot at sharing a prize pool of 4 billion Polychrome.
To mark the debut of Angels of Delusion, HoYoverse is also launching a global promotion titled “Sugar Rush: Cuteness Saves the World,” which includes merchandise, fan events, and more.
