HoYoverse has announced that Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.0, “A Sleepwalker’s Confession,” will launch on June 17, marking the beginning of the game’s Season 3. The update will introduce the new sky island region Roscaelifer, two new S-Rank Agents, new gameplay additions, and free rewards for players.

Version 3.0 introduces two new S-Rank Agents. Velina, Administrative Director of the External Strategy Department (ESD), is the game’s first Wind-attribute Agent who specializes in the Anomaly role. Her combat style revolves around applying the new Windswept status and triggering a unique Vortex effect that spreads attribute damage to nearby enemies. HoYoverse notes that her potential will continue to grow as additional Anomaly-focused characters join the roster in future updates.
The second new S-Rank Agent is Norma, a Fire-attribute Stun character and Chief Technician of the ESD. Norma’s combat centers on her signature hat and a resource called Preheated Chamber, allowing her to convert teammates’ Quick Assists into Chain Attacks.
Besides the new characters, HoYoverse is giving all players the Phaethon faction Agent Pyrois as a free reward. Players who progress through the Version 3.0 main story will also receive a Season 3-themed protagonist outfit. Future updates will bring all of Pyrois’ Mindscapes and their exclusive W-Engine.
Players can also claim a total of 1,600 Polychromes, with 600 available at launch and another 1,000 scheduled for distribution on July 4 to celebrate the game’s second anniversary.
Roscaelifer will also bring several new exploration mechanics. Players will be able to use surveillance systems through the Universal Terminal, conduct drone operations alongside Eous, ride high-speed aerial transportation routes, and investigate spatial anomalies using Pyrois’ abilities. A new collectible progression system called Interboo will result in exploration awards
Two new modes are also getting added. Bangbang! The Genius and the Miracle Chip involves managing Collaboorator squads and repairing a central computing hub, while Annihilation Simulacrum introduces boss fights that prioritize player skill and mechanics over elemental advantages.
Another major addition is the game’s launch on Steam, which will coincide with the Version 3.0 update and support full cross-platform progression.
