Numerous fans reacted with curiosity to a playlist listing on the Bandai Namco Entertainment Southeast Asia YouTube channel on February 22: a new playlist “DRAGON BALL Xenoverse 3” was created, with its sole video entry being the upcoming Dragon Ball: Age 1000 new game project. You can check out a screenshot of Dragon Ball: Age 1000‘s listing under the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 playlist below, taken at 2:40 PM UTC.

The playlist has since been removed. Official details of the nature of the Dragon Ball new game project, “Age 1000,” are expected for April 18 – 19 at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026. It goes without saying that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 has not been announced. While any reports definitively asserting that Dragon Ball: Age 1000 is Xenoverse 3 are premature, the last entry, Xenoverse 2, dropped 10 years ago in October 2016; it’s hard to imagine why else the series would resurface now.
Also scheduled for Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 in April are further details on the Dragon Ball Super Beerus anime remake. You can get the latest on that and more from Anime Corner’s Genkidamatsuri 2026 recap, featuring the Moro Arc anime sequel announcement, new Sparking ZERO DLC, and a special anime short directed by Naoki Miyahara at Toei Animation.
The new Dragon Ball game will be released in 2027. It was teased, “Announcing a New Dragon Ball Game Project, ‘AGE 1000’, set for 2027! A new world and new characters brought to life by Akira Toriyama!” You can check out the announcement PV below.
