Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Game Announced for 2027

Bandai Namco Entertainment officially announced DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 during Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026, confirming a 2027 release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. A new trailer for the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Beerus TV anime was also shown at the event.

The sequel was previously teased under the codename “Age 1000” and marks the first new entry in the series in over a decade since Xenoverse 2 released in 2016. It continues the Xenoverse line, allowing players to create their own character and experience an original story set within the Dragon Ball universe. The project was almost accidentally revealed when it was listed under a Xenoverse on Bandai’s YouTube channel in February.

The game introduces a new setting, West City in Age 1000, where players will explore a new storyline and join the Great Saiyan Squad. The title is described as a story-driven RPG, with a focus on character progression and original narrative content based on the world created by Akira Toriyama.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will add Goku (Super Saiyan 4, DAIMA) as a playable character on April 22, introducing new abilities such as Wild Dash and multiple branching attacks.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO also revealed new DLC content, including Vegeta (GT) and Trunks (GT) as playable characters, along with a new solo mode focused on character progression.

Meanwhile, DRAGON BALL GEKISHIN SQUADRA announced collaboration content with Xenoverse 2 and confirmed plans for its first offline world championship event in Japan.

More details on DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 are expected in the coming months as Bandai Namco continues to reveal information on the project.
