Bandai Namco has released the second trailer for DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3, showcasing the game’s character creation system ahead of its planned 2027 launch. Today’s announcement came during Playstation’s State of Play on September 3.
Titled “Fight Your Own Way,” the trailer reveals the six playable races available when creating a custom fighter: Earthling, Saiyan, Namekian, Frieza Race, Majin and Android. The Android option is new to XENOVERSE 3.
Players will be able to customize their fighter’s appearance, inherit techniques from Super Fighters and choose a fighting style based on the movement and abilities of 130 heroes. According to Bandai Namco, these choices will influence how players approach combat and develop their character throughout the game.
Players will take on the role of a mysterious hero who arrives in AGE 1000 from another era with no memory of their past. After arriving in the futuristic timeline, the protagonist gets involved with a new generation of heroes tasked with protecting peace while balancing everyday life as university students in West City.
The sequel was previously teased under the codename “Age 1000” and marks the first new entry in the series in over a decade since Xenoverse 2 released in 2016. It continues the Xenoverse line, allowing players to create their own character and experience an original story set within the Dragon Ball universe. The project was almost accidentally revealed when it was listed under a Xenoverse on Bandai’s YouTube channel in February.
