Dragon Ball Super: Beerus New Trailer Previews Opening and Ending Themes, October 11 Premiere

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus anime revealed its theme songs in the new “SUPER SURGE” trailer, along with an October 11 premiere date. The series was previously confirmed to release Fall 2026, slowly leading up to the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol (Moro Arc) anime.

The new trailer features an extended look at the numerous battles between Goku and Beerus, giving a new look at the updated visuals as part of the project’s “ENHANCED” edition. The video also teases Frieza’s resurrection, featuring the character in numerous scenes.

The opening theme song is “ONOGAMI” by MEGATERA・ZERO while the ending theme song is “Kan Peki no Peki” by VK Blanka. Speaking about “ONOGAMI,” MEGATERA・ZERO said:

“I’ve watched Dragon Ball since I was young, so much so that it’s had a huge impact on my life. ‘ONOGAMI’ is a song I wrote out of a desire to capture the fighters I found throughout Dragon Ball, not only Goku and the others, but also the characters who showed up as formidable enemies, those who fight with nothing but their own strength, who fight believing in ‘ono ga mi,’ their own bodies and selves.

I’m truly happy to be part of the world of a series that means so much to the whole country.

Thank you so much!”

VK Blanka also commented on joining the franchise with “Kan Peki No Peki”:

“As a boy, I’d turn the pages of the manga completely absorbed, and I got up early every week to watch the TV anime. Now, all these years later, to be able to take part as a musician is truly an honor! This is a song dear to me, one I made by drawing out everything inside me: not only the ‘strength’ and ‘courage’ that Dragon Ball has always portrayed, but even the ‘sadness’ and ‘injustice’ that have always lain in their shadow.”

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus also confirmed a presence at New York Comic Con 2026. The “Dragon Ball Super: Beerus SPECIAL PANEL” will take place at the Javits Center’s Empire Stage on October 8 from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. local time, where the first episode will get its world-premiere advance screening.

Jason Douglas, the English voice of Beerus, and Ian Sinclair, the English voice of Whis, will appear as panelists, with Bulma voice actor Monica Rial serving as host. Attendees are also set to receive a Dragon Ball Super: Beerus fan chain and face towel, as well as a Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World Energy Marker.

Dragon Ball is a Japanese manga created by Akira Toriyama in 1984. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 1984 to 1989. The Dragon Ball Z sequel started in 1989 and ended in 1995. The sequel to Z, Dragon Ball Super started serialization in 2015 and is still ongoing.

The franchise received numerous anime adaptations, with the latest ones being Dragon Ball Super and Super Dragon Ball Heroes. With the latter one being separate from the main continuity, fans have been excited for the story to continue. The Dragon Ball Super TV anime ran from July 2015 to March 2018 for a total of 131 episodes. Crunchyroll streams the anime, for which they describe the story:

The latest movie Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO arrived to theaters in August 2022, and it had a strong opening weekend in North America. Dragon Ball also recently finished airing its Dragon Ball DAIMA anime, while it has other projects in development. One of them is the Dragon Ball Theme Park, which is planned to cover 500,000 square meters and be a key part of the Qiddiya City in Saudi Arabia.

Akira Toriyama passed away on March 1, 2024.
