Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Reveals "SUPER GEKITOU" Trailer, New Comments from Cast and Staff

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus anime revealed its “SUPER GEKITOU” trailer during the DRAGON BALL SUPER Special Panel at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 in Los Angeles. The series is scheduled to premiere in Fall 2026, slowly leading up to the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol (Moro Arc) anime.

The new trailer features an extended look at the battle between Goku and Beerus, giving a new look at the updated visuals as part of the project’s “ENHANCED” edition. The video also teases Frieza’s resurrection, which is shown at the very end.

During the panel, comments from the main cast and production were shared:

Koichi Yamadera, Japanese voice of Beerus, said he was “happy to see ‘Beerus’ in the title, while Jason Douglas, the English voice of the character, commented, “It’s an amazing thrill to see Beerus take center stage in Dragon Ball Super: Beerus.

Executive producer Akio Iyoku said about Beerus, “He is indeed an unpredictable and awe-inspiringly powerful god. Dragon Ball Super is a series that begins to move forward because of the existence of this God of Destruction Beerus. The entire production staff has been working tirelessly to deliver Beerus’s strengths and existence with the latest visual techniques, for everyone to enjoy to the fullest.”

Masako Nozawa, the voice of Goku, also commented on the trailer, saying, “The battle between Goku and Beerus was so thrilling and epic! Then… Frieza appears at the end!” You can see some more preview images from the trailer below.

Dragon Ball is a Japanese manga created by Akira Toriyama in 1984. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 1984 to 1989. The Dragon Ball Z sequel started in 1989 and ended in 1995. The sequel to ZDragon Ball Super started serialization in 2015 and is still ongoing.

The franchise received numerous anime adaptations, with the latest ones being Dragon Ball Super and Super Dragon Ball Heroes. With the latter one being separate from the main continuity, fans have been excited for the story to continue. The Dragon Ball Super TV anime ran from July 2015 to March 2018 for a total of 131 episodes. Crunchyroll streams the anime, for which they describe the story:

The latest movie Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO arrived to theaters in August 2022, and it had a strong opening weekend in North America. Dragon Ball also recently finished airing its Dragon Ball DAIMA anime, while it has other projects in development. One of them is the Dragon Ball Theme Park, which is planned to cover 500,000 square meters and be a key part of the Qiddiya City in Saudi Arabia.

Akira Toriyama passed away on March 1, 2024.
