“Strike the Blood IV” has received a short promotional video for the season finale! Recently, the official website of the anime posted it together with the announcement of the premiere date. In case you missed it, Strike the Blood OVA is releasing 2 episodes per 2 months on a Blu-ray/DVD. The season finale will consist of episodes 11 and 12, which is also known as Strike the Blood IV Blu-ray/DVD volume 6.

The episodes are set to release on June 30, 2021, on Blu-ray/DVD. Volume 6 will revolve around Akatsuki Kojo’s fight against the chief of the MAR to save the recently awakened Avrora Florestina, who is now back to being the fourth progenitor.

According to the anime’s official Twitter account, the key visual depicts the involvement of Avrora Florestina in the lives of Himeragi Yukina and Akatsuki Kojo. It says that she will be important in the development of the story. In case you didn’t know Avrora Florestina is the one who gave Kojo the power of the fourth progenitor from the anime’s season 1.
What is Strike the Blood?
Strike the Blood is a Japanese light novel series by Gakuto Mikumo. ASCII Media Works published the novel from May 2011 until August 2020. It has 22 volumes and another 2 additional volumes acting as a side story. Moreover, the same publisher also published a manga adaptation on Dengeki Daioh magazine from June 2012 to December 2016 with a total of 10 volumes.
In addition, an anime adaptation of the series aired in the Fall 2013 season. Studio Silver Link Connect took care of its animation. Also, an OVA titled, “Strike the Blood: Valkyria no Ōkoku-hen” aired on the Fall 2015 season with a total of 2 episodes.
Then, the 2 episodes per 2 months system started when “Strike the Blood II” premiered. It has a total of 8 episodes that aired from November 2016 until May 2017. “Strike the Blood III” started running in December 2018 up to September 2019 with a total of 10 episodes. Afterward, in January 2020, another OVA titled, “Strike the Blood: Kieta Seisō-hen” has been released.
Later on, Strike the Blood IV started airing in April 2020 and it will end on June 30, 2021 with a total of 12 episodes.

The Synopsis of the Story:
The fourth Progenitor is the most powerful vampire once thought to exist only in the world of legends. Yet when it appears in Japan, the government for some reason chooses an apprentice “sword shaman”, Yukina Himeragi, to observe and obliterate it. Bewildered by the disproportionate task and its specific details, Yukina arrives at the Demon District of Itogami-jima to watch Akatsuki Kojo, and a student at a private high school on Itogami-jima.
