The August issue for Kadokawa’s Shonen Ace magazine has revealed that Oreimo’s Kuroneko will get a new spin-off manga. Airi Mori will launch the new spin-off manga in the next issue of Shonen Ace this July 26, 2021. The Kuroneko spin-off manga will be titled “Ore no Imōto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai Kuroneko if” (My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute Kuroneko If).
The manga is based on the Oreimo novels by Tsukasa Fushimi, and it will explore an alternate ending for the novels. The story will focus on Kyousuke ending up with Kuroneko. Also, this new spin-off will be the 15th and 16th volumes of the series. Additionally, the earlier 13th and 14th volumes had a similar concept but featuring the character Ayase Aragaki.
In addition, this will be a separate story to the 2011’s “Oreimo: Kuroneko” manga by Sakura Ikeda. The manga also has a similar story of an alternate ending centering on Kyousuke and Kuroneko.
About My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute
My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute or Oreimo, is a light novel series by Tsukasa Fushimi who also wrote Eromanga-Sensei. It tells the story of Kyousuke Kousaka, a normal high school student, who never gets along with his younger sister, Kirino, in years. One day, his life would change forever, after finding about her sister’s hobbies.
On August 10, 2008, the novel series got published. Furthermore, the anime adaptation was first aired in October of 2010, and since then the anime got 3 more seasons while the novels rose up in popularity.
