What Is Anime NYC?

The Anime NYC is an annual three-day anime convention that takes place every November at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. Since its inauguration in 2017, the convention has hosted several companies that promote Japanese manga, anime, and games.

Leftfield Media, an event company made of dedicated fans and convention organizers, operates said event. It has also seen support from Crunchyroll, an American-based distributor, publisher, production, and licensing company focused on streaming anime.

Last year’s Anime NYC moved to an online format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a part of safety protocols, physical attendees need to show proof of vaccination and must wear face masks at all times within the venue.
