Touko Sakurai and Souta Kazama made a huge development in episode 8 of My Senpai Is Annoying anime. Golden Week holiday is just around the corner, so everyone is preparing for it and in Kazama and Sakurai’s case, it seems that they will start it with a very wholesome moment.

Sakurai and Kazama have been cute since the first episode of My Senpai Is Annoying. I didn’t expect that the time would come where I would see them on a date. I will also admit that I’m shipping them harder than the main couple of the story, Futaba and Takeda. In this episode, we were also able to witness Sakurai, admitting that she and Kazama are a couple.
Well, this scene was a sight to behold for the fans of Kazama and Sakurai, even for myself. Looking back, we already know that the two of them have had feelings for each other since episode 2 of My Senpai Is Annoying, but this is the first time they went out and told the public about their relationship.
Dolphins and First Names
Kazama and Sakurai spent quality time together in an aquarium. There, they watch a dolphin show, wherein three dolphins are showcasing their talents. One of the dolphins really looks like Kazama because of the eyes and they even share the same name, which is Souta. According to Sakurai, the dolphin and Kazama’s personalities are also the same because they both help their friends when they are in pinch. Kazama even proved unconsciously that Sakurai is right about him by saving her from some random strangers out there who are trying to hit on her. Not only that but we also saw that he finally said that Sakurai belongs to him.
It’s fun to see the two of them getting closer to each other. Sakurai even started calling him by his first name. This is a huge development for their relationship because it means that she is starting to abandon formality between the two of them.
Side Characters Are Also Important
Episode 8 of My Senpai Is Annoying really did a good portrayal of not neglecting side characters. Even though the main couple of the series are Futaba and Takeda, it was enjoyable seeing more side characters. These particular characters are also crucial for the development of the story. Of course, Futaba and Takeda were also in this episode but you can really tell that this episode focuses on Sakurai and Kazama. Hopefully, we’ll see one dedicated to Tsukishiro in the future.
The episode ended with Futaba and Takeda, enjoying the souvenirs and food Sakurai bought from the aquarium. Episode 9 will air on December 5, 2021, and you can watch it on Funimation.

Synopsis
Igarashi Futuba’s new job would be great if her senpai, Takeda Harumi, wasn’t so incredibly annoying! Just because Futuba is short and looks young doesn’t make her a kid, and just because she spends so much time with Takeda doesn’t mean she sees him as anything but an annoying senpai…or does she?!
