Buta no Liver wa Kanetsushiro is getting an anime adaptation. The information came during Dengeki Bunko Winter Festival and was also shared on their official Twitter. More information is expected at a later date.
The Buta no Liver (Heat the Pig Liver: The Story of a Man Turned Into a Pig) story is based on an isekai light novel by Takuma Sakai with Asagi Tohsaka’s illustrations. The light novel began serialization in 20202, and a manga adaptation is currently ongoing as well. The light novel is currently on its 4th volume.
The plot follows an unappealing otaku who reincarnates as a pig, after passing out while eating raw pig liver. In the new world, he meets Jess, a girl who can read minds. Jess accepts him for who he is, but she does plan on eating him eventually. However, she is in danger, and Pig is the only one who can save her while using his new skillset which includes a refined sense of smell.
