Crunchyroll Announces Sixth Anime Awards Winners

Crunchyroll announced the winners for its sixth annual Anime Awards for 2021. Attack on Titan: Final Season Part 1 won big by winning the Anime of the Year title, along with Best Antagonist (Eren), Best VA Performance (Japanese), and Best Opening Sequence.

Winners of Crunchyroll Anime Awards were chosen by global anime fans and a committee of international judges, and the full list can be found below:

According to Crunchyroll’s statement, nearly 17 million votes were cast this year. Countries and territories with the highest engagement were Brazil, France, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the United States in alphabetical order. India was also included in the top 10 countries for the first time, with votes from Argentina, Canada, Chile, and Germany.

The nominations were announced last month, and the first thing many fans noticed was the fact that Eren Yeager was nominated in both Best Antagonist and Best Protagonist categories.
