Tech entertainment company COVER Corp., has announced that it will be terminating Hololive VTuber talent Uruha Rushia from its official talent lineup, according to its recently-published statement.
In the statement, the company said that the reason for the termination was that allegedly, Rushia has been sharing false information to third parties, as well as leaking information that includes official business matters. This, in turn, is a breach of Hololive’s contract regarding shared information. The company also noted that the breach of contract included using communication on other social networking sites.
“To all our fans and any related parties, we deeply appreciate all of the great support you have provided throughout the activities that Uruha Rushia has engaged in over a period of 2 years and 7 months since her debut as part of the third generation of Hololive. We deeply apologize from the bottom of our hearts that we have ended up in a position to have to report this news to you.”

The company also stated that by the end of March, Rushia’s YouTube channel, as well as its memberships will be deleted. Furthermore, COVER Corp. noted that they will be notifying those who have purchased Rushia’s birthday merchandise.
Following the announcement, a large slice of the VTubing community have voiced concerns regarding the sudden termination. Many have noted that the new announcement had a different tone compared to the previous announcement COVER Corp. made. In it, they stated that in addition to not interfering with their talent’s private lives, the alleged controversy surrounding their talent has brought “harsh emotional stress” to not only to Rushia but also to other Hololive talents.
It should be recalled that Rushia was in hot water after fans misunderstood a message she received from singer-songwriter Mafumafu on Discord, which popped up on her stream. Since then, both parties have clarified their sides of the story, and apologized to fans, stating that there is no cohabitation between the two parties.
Uruha Rushia also previously backed out in the upcoming 3rd Anniversary GARIBENGER V Super Thanksgiving event, citing poor physical conditions.
Rushia is affiliated with Hololive’s 3rd Generation lineup Hololive Fantasy, and as of this writing she holds around 1.59 million subscribers on YouTube. She was also the top-earning content creator on YouTube through superchats, according to aggregated data from Playboard.
