The upcoming Netflix anime original Spriggan has unveiled a new trailer as well as the additional cast information for the series. In addition, the opening theme “Seeking the Truth feat. YAHZARAH” by Taisei Iwasaki is also used in the new trailer.
The new additional cast includes:
- Saori Hayami as Lt. Col. Maria Clemente
- Takayuki Sugo as Bowman
- Mitsuho Kambe as Rie Yamabishi
Taisei Iwasaki is credited for the series’ ending theme “Ancient Creations feat. Shing02”. The original soundtrack will be fully released digitally on June 18, the same date as the show’s premiere.
Spriggan previously released a key visual, drawn by chief animation director Shuuei Handa. Hiroshi Kobayashi is directing, with Hiroshi Seki on the script. David Production is animating the series. Based on a manga written by Hiroshi Takashige and illustrated by Ryoji Minagawa, Spriggan had an animated movie adaptation made by Studio 4°C in 1998. The new adaptation for Spriggan was initially set for the 2021 premiere date but was delayed to 2022.
Netflix website describes the series’ plot as:
An ancient alien civilization’s relics on Earth hold dangerous powers. The ARCAM corporation’s Spriggan agents must keep them out of the wrong hands.
