Isekai crossover anime film, Isekai Quartet the Movie -Another World- revealed on June 19 the first 10 minutes on YouTube. The film animated by Studio PuYUKAI hit theaters across Japan on June 10.
The video came with Ainz Ooal Gown from the Overlord series in the thumbnail. He wanders around inside a building he was forcibly warped into. The video is region locked to Japan as of now.
It starts with KADOKAWA’s logo and moves on to the main story, which also first shows a logo for the Studio PuYUKAI with a new character Pantagruel, whose humming can be heard. Pantagruel is voiced by Minami Tanaka.
Isekai Quartet was initially a crossover show of four isekai-themed light novels published by KADOKAWA; Calro Zen’s The Saga of Tanya the Evil, Kugane Maruyama’s Overlord, Tappei Nagatsuki’s Re:Zero Starting Life in Another World, and Natsume Akatsuki’s Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!. Season 1 aired in 2019 with a total of 12 episodes. Another isekai light novel series, Aneko Yusagi’s The Rising of the Shield Hero joined the anime’s 12-episode 2nd season in 2020.
Other than the Isekai Quartet series, Studio PuYUKAI produced short petit animations for Calro Zen’s The Saga of Tanya the Evil as Yojo Shenki, Kugane Maruyama’s Overlord as Ple Ple Pleiades, and Tappei Nagatsuki’s Re:Zero Starting Life in Another World as Re:PETIT ~Starting Life in Another World from PETIT~. The anime studio is producing cat-themed Nights With a Cat with Minoru Ashina’s direction and scripts. The title is set for summer 2022 release.
