The official Twitter account for the Dr. Stone anime announced that the Japanese band Burnout Syndromes (stylized BURNOUT SYNDROMES) will perform the opening theme song for the Dr. Stone: Ryusui TV special, along with revealing some new images for the 1-hour episode. The band previously performed the first opening for the show’s 1st season, titled “Good Morning World!“. The title of the new song is still unknown, and it will premiere in Japan on July 10th this year. You can see the announcement:

The Dr. Stone: Ryusui TV opening theme song by Burnout Syndromes will be released along with a music video at midnight right after the episode’s broadcast in Japan. You can also check out some more images from the special episode:
The episode was announced along with season 3 of the anime, which is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2023. TMS Entertainment is in charge of the production. The episode will focus on Ryusui Nanami, who will also have an important role in Dr. Stone’s 3rd season. His Japanese voice actor is Ryota Suzuki.
Written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi, the manga ended after 5 years of serialization on March 7, 2022. It had a total of 232 chapters, and you can read it on VIZ or MANGA Plus. VIZ describes the story:

Season 1 of the Dr. Stone anime adaptation began airing in the Summer of 2019 anime season (24 episodes), while season 2, Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, started in January of 2021. There are about 15 days until we finally get to watch Ryusui and hear the opening song for the special!
