Solo Leveling Trending on US Twitter After Anime Announcement

Not even an hour after the initial anime announcement, Solo Leveling managed to get on Twitter’s trending list. The anime was announced during Crunchyroll’s Anime Expo 2022 panel and will be co-produced by Aniplex. A-1 Pictures is animating it, with Hiroyuki Sawano on music. The anime will be based on Solo Leveling web novel/webtoon series. The web-novel by Chugong started serialization in 2016 and ended in 2018, after 270 chapters. It is compiled into 14 volumes. Webnovel licensed it in English, but under the Only I Level Up title. The webtoon adaptation of the web novel with art by Jang-Sung-Rak (aka DUBU) of Redice Studio ended in December of 2021. H-goon helped adapt the work that originally started on KakaoPage in Korea and has 2 seasons. In addition to Webnovel, Tappytoon, and PocketComics, also offer it in English. Yen Press licensed the webtoon and published a volume in paperback format earlier this year. In addition to the webtoon, a game is also in development, along with a drama adaptation.
