The upcoming In/Spectre Season 2 has received a trailer. The series will premiere in January 2023. The video features some scenes of the new characters, and you can watch the video below:
The new characters that you can see in the video are Yuuki Onna, who is voiced by Aoi Yuuki, and Masayuki Muroi, voiced Makoto Furukawa. Akari Kitou and Mamoru Miyano will be reprising their roles as the main characters, Kotoko Iwanaga and Kurou Sakuragawa.
In/Spectre Season 2 was originally set to premiere in October 2022 but was postponed to January 2023 due to “various reasons”. The first season of the series aired in the Winter 2020 anime season, and it had a total of 12 episodes. Keiji Gotoh directed it at studio Brain’s Base. The same director and studio are also working on Season 2. You can watch the series on Crunchyroll.

The anime is based on Kyo Shirodaira’s Kyokou Suiri (In/Spectre) novel series. Kodansha has been serializing it with Hiro Kiyohara’s and Chasiba Katase’s since 2011. A manga adaptation by Chasiba Katase is being published by the same publisher since 2015. Kodansha USA is publishing the In/Spectre novel series in English and describes the plot as:
Both touched by spirits called yokai, Kotoko and Kuro have gained unique superhuman powers. But to gain her powers Kotoko has given up an eye and a leg, and Kuro’s personal life is in shambles. So when Kotoko suggests they team up to deal with renegades from the spirit world, Kuro doesn’t have many other choices, but Kotoko might just have a few ulterior motives …
