The “twin” anime films Boku ga Aishita Subete no Kimi e and Kimi wo Aishita Hitori no Boku e have revealed new separate key visuals. The films that feature parallel storylines will be released in Japan at the same time on October 7. A joint visual was previously released in May this year.
Separate trailers for both films (also known as To Every You I’ve Loved Before and To The Solitary Me That Loved You) were released recently. Boku ga Aishita will be directed by Atsushi Matsumoto, with Bakken Record animating it. Meanwhile, Kimi wo Aishita will be directed by Kenichi Kasai and animated by TMS Entertainment.
The previously-announced main cast includes Hio Miyazawa playing the roles of Koyomi Takasaki in Boku ga Aishita and Koyomi Hidaka in Kimi wo Aishita; Aju Makita as Shiori Sato (Kimi o Aishita) and Ai Hashimoto as Kazune Takigawa (Boku ga Aishita).
The theme songs for the movies are “Kumo o Kou” by Keina Suda for Boku ga Aishita. “Shion” by the Japanese boy band Saucy Dog will be featured in Kimi wo Aishita. Both films are based on novels written by Yomiji Otono in 2016, that have been published by Hayakawa Shobo.
