Ya Boy Kongming Gets English Dub, Premiere Set for September 23

Ya Boy Kongming is ready to jam with the newly announced English dub which will premiere on September 23 on HIDIVE. Joe Daniels (Wakatoshi Ushijima in Haikyuu!!) and Juliet Simmons (Chiyo Sakura in Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun) will be voicing Kongming and Eiko. The staff has also been revealed:

Ya Boy Kongming anime adaptation premiered in April of this year. Special unit QUEENDOM performed the opening theme song, the catchy “Chiki Chiki Bam Bam, while 96Neko performed the ending song, which is titled “Kibun Jojo”. 96Neko also provided the singing voice for one of the protagonists, Eiko Tsukimi (voiced by Kaede Hondo). Ryotaro Okiayu voiced the titular character, Kongming.

Shu Honma is directed the Ya Boy Kongming anime, with Kanami Sekiguchi as character designer. Yoko Yonaiyama is was in charge of the series composition, while Genki Hikota is composed the music. Studio P.A. Works animated the series.

The Ya Boy Kongming anime is streaming on HiDIVE, which is also where the English dub will be available.The story is based on a manga by Yuto Yotsuba and Ryo Ogawa. Kodansha is publishing the manga in English and describes the plot as:
General of the Three Kingdoms, Kongming had struggled his whole life, facing countless battles that made him into the accomplished strategist he was. So on his deathbed, he wished only to be reborn into a peaceful world…and was sent straight to modern-day party-central, Tokyo! Can even a brilliant strategist like Kongming adapt to the wild beats and even wilder party people?!
