A Mangaka's Weirdly Wonderful Workplace Anime Unveils New Trailer

The upcoming A Mangaka’s Weirdly Wonderful Workplace unveiled a new trailer on Monday. The anime will premiere on October 6, 2025 with studio Voil animating under the direction of Kaoru Suzuki. The latest trailer features the ending theme song, “Thankful,” by Sizuk:

Mio Inoue is writing the series composition, Kana Miyai is doing the character designs, and Kei Haneoka and Hironori Doi are collaborating together in composing the music. The voice cast of the series includes:

  • Miku Ito as Mizuki Hazama
  • Yu Kobayashi as Arisa Nashida
  • Eriko Matsui as Toko Nodate

  • Sumire Uesaka as Nagomi Hayachine

HoneyWorks ft. HaKoniwalily is singing the opening theme song “Zettai Shosan,” and it can be heard on the series’ first trailer.

The story follows Futami, a rookie shojo manga artist who has been able to start publishing her dream shogi manga, “Subaru e,” with the help of her cool editor and reliable assistant. However, struggling with stomachaches, looming deadlines, and storyboard blocks, she finds herself stuck at her desk, indulging in late-night snacks and spiraling into wild delusions.
