A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special anime released a new trailer and visual along with an October 7 premiere date. Arvo Animation is animating the series under the direction of Taishi Kawaguchi.
The official trailer features the opening theme song “Get Back” by FLOW. The main cast for the anime includes Takuma Terashima as Desir Herrman, Natsumi Fujiwara as Pram Schnaize, and Sayumi Suzushiro as Romaintica Elle. Takamitsu Kouno is in charge of the anime’s series composition and script writing, with Hiromi Kato as the character designer. Kenta Higashiohji is composing the music, while Eiji Iwase and Takatoshi Hamano are the art and sound directors, respectively.
A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special anime is based on a web novel by So-nan Yu and illustrated by Uk-jakga, which was first published on KakaoPage from September 2016 to August 2019. It received a webtoon adaptation with illustrations by Wookjakga. KakaoPage began the serialization of it in May 2018. It is published by Piccoma digitally and Kadokawa Shoten in print in Japan.
Yen Press has licensed the manhwa in English, describing it as:
