Akiba maids are coming to Los Angeles: for a limited time, the Akiba Maid War anime series is opening a pop-up café at the heart of Little Tokyo. In collaboration with Cygames and Sentai Filmworks, Little Akihabara is bringing the iconic Oinky Doinky Cafe (Ton Tokoton!) to life in a new immersive experience, as part of a collaboration by Cygames and the Asayoru Maid Cafe.
It will feature an entirely trained maid staff in official outfits worn in the original anime series. It will have live performances, anime-themed food and drinks inspired by the Akiba Maid War anime series, event-exclusive merchandise, and more. Fans will also receive a free exclusive coaster and a complimentary decorated Polaroid with their maid with their reservation.
The Akiba Maid War pop-up café will run from June 28th through July 28th. It’s closed on Mondays and Tuesdays except for July 8th. It is open from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on the weekdays and from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm on the weekends.
Entry to the café is by reservation only. Fans planning to enter the café must purchase tickets. The weekday set tickets are sold between $25 to $45 U.S. dollars. The weekend shows range from $60 to $80 U.S. dollars. The seating for the Weekday Café Reservation is on a first come, first serve basis while the live performances will have assigned seating. While shows are only performed on the weekends, fans can purchase their personal maid performances during the weekdays. The event is rated PG-13 and may have violent imagery content.
Can’t wait? Die-hard fans can purchase a VIP package ticket to join influencers and press for early bird access on June 27th at 7:30 pm. There will also be even-exclusive merchandise. Fans can purchase tickets at Little Akihabara’s official website.
