Ascendance of a Bookworm Part 4: Founder of the Royal Academy’s So-Called Library Committee is officially getting an anime adaptation. The series’ official website announced the adaptation and confirmed that WIT Studio will continue the animation production.
J-Novel summarizes the first volume of part 4 as follows:
Rozemyne has awoken from her two-year slumber. Everything and everyone has changed, which is as terrifying as it sounds, but she doesn’t have time to waste before she’s thrust toward the Royal Academy—a requirement for becoming a noble. There, she will meet all sorts of colorful teachers and students from other duchies… but can she keep her composure in the face of the most books she’s seen yet? Our bookworm goes to school in the newest installment of this biblio-fantasy by book lovers, for book lovers.
The first season of the anime aired in 2019, followed by a second in 2020 and a third in 2022, all animated by Studio Ajia-do. The latest Season aired in spring and summer 2026, with the last episode airing on October 3, 2026, and was animated by Studio WIT.
