The upcoming anime Ascendance of a Bookworm season 3 has received a new trailer. along with new cast information. The sequel of the anime will premiere in April 2022.

Miya Kazuki published the Japanese novel series Ascendance of the Bookworm from September 2013 until March 2017 on Shosetsuka ni Naro web service. Later on, TO Books started serializing a light novel adaptation in January 2015 with Yu Shiina’s illustrations, which currently has 27 volumes available. The same publisher started publishing a manga adaptation in October 2015. The manga currently has 4 parts.
The first manga ended in July 2018 with a total of 7 volumes. The second part started in September 2018 and it currently has 5 volumes in circulation. Part 3 of the manga started in April 2018, which currently has 4 volumes. Lastly, the fourth part just started its serialization in December 2020. It has 2 volumes as of now.
The anime adaptation of the series started airing in October 2019. The first season consists of 14 episodes with two additional OVAs. The second season aired in April 2020 with a total of 12 episodes. Ajia-do Animation Works animated the series and it will also work on the third season.
