Voice actress Atsumi Tanezaki, known for her roles as Anya Forger in Spy x Family, Frieren in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Chise Hatori in The Ancient Magus’ Bride, and Rio Futaba in Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, will be temporarily limiting her professional activities due to health concerns.

Her agency, Haikyo (Tokyo Actor’s Consumer’s Cooperative Society), issued an official statement on July 1, 2025, announcing that Tanezaki had been continuing her work under medical guidance since last year. However, due to a recent decline in her condition, it was determined that she fully focus on recovery, and as so certain activities will be restricted.

Following the announcement, Tanezaki shared a message of her with fans. She confirmed she would also be pausing posts on social media platform X during this time, though she added that she hopes fans will forgive her if she happens to post something impulsively, like “an explosively cute plushie.”

She assured fans that her work itself hasn’t changed and acknowledged that some might wonder if she’s truly taking a break. “But I assure you, I am. Thank you for your concern. Please don’t worry too much.”

She concluded the message by confirming that she will take care of herself and encouraging fans to also be careful as the summer kicks into full gear.

In order to continue treasuring the works and characters I’ve encountered,
In order to keep working just as clumsily and sincerely as always,
I need to be in good health — otherwise, I won’t be able to do that.
So I will take care of myself properly too…

I will!!!
OSSU (a spirited “yes!”)!!!

As summer seems to be kicking into full gear,
Please, everyone, be kind to yourselves too.
