The creditless ending video for part 2 of Baki Hanma Season 2 has been released. The ending, used for the second season’s Father VS Son Saga arc, is titled “Salvia” and is performed by the Japanese boy band BE:FIRST. The creditless opening video has been released previously, which uses the song “Sarracenia” by SKY-HI.
Part 1 is titled The Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga, and was released on July 26, while part 2 will be released on August 24. The first part featured “The Beast” by Wagakki Band as the opening and “WILDER” by UPSTART as the ending.
TMS Entertainment is animating the Baki Hanma adaptation, and the staff includes Toshiki Hirano as the director, Tatsuhiko Urahata as the series composer, Shingo Ishikawa as the character designer, and Kenji Fujisawa as the music composer. Netflix describes the story:
The Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga
They revived a human who shouldn’t even exist; a prehistoric man so powerful, he once preyed on Jurassic dinosaurs — and Baki can’t wait to fight him.
The Father VS Son Saga

Keisuke Itagaki wrote and illustrated the original Baki manga series. It ran from 1991 to 1999 in Weekly Shōnen Champion, and was collected into 42 volumes. There were 3 sequel manga series, Baki, Baki Hanma and Baki-Dou, all of which ran in the same magazine. Lastly, the 5th series, also titled Baki-Dou (but romanized differently), started in October 2018.
The series first got an anime adaptation in 2001, and had a reboot in 2018 which ran for 26 episodes and was animated by Double Eagle and TMS Entertainment. This was then followed by Baki: The Great Raitai Tournament Saga in Spring of 2020. Baki Hanma (also known as Baki: Son of Ogre) is the third installment of the reboot, and Baki Hanma Season 2 picked up right after the first season.
